Who we are
ReRead is published by Hamperpick. Hamperpick is the trading name of Hamperpick Ventures LLP.
This policy explains what information ReRead handles, in both its editor extension and its command-line tool. It applies only to ReRead; the Hamperpick website has its own privacy policy.
In short
ReRead runs entirely on your computer. It makes no network connections, has no account, analytics or tracking, and sends nothing to us or anyone else.
Information kept on your computer
ReRead keeps the following on your computer so it can work. None of it is sent to us:
- A cache in your system's temporary folder (reread-<your user id>) that holds, for each Claude Code session the status bar or status line has looked at, the session file's location and the token counts, model, effort level and time of each reply; files older than two days are removed
- The report made by the command-line tool, report.html, in a new private folder in your system's temporary folder (or where you name it); in the editor, the report opens in a tab and is not saved
- Files you export from the report (an image, JSON or CSV), only where you choose to save them
- Your ReRead settings (whether the status bar countdown is on, and how many days the report covers), kept by the editor
What passes through it
ReRead reads the session files Claude Code, Codex and Antigravity keep on your computer (in ~/.claude/projects, ~/.codex/sessions, ~/.codex/archived_sessions and Antigravity's folders in ~/.gemini). From each reply it uses only the token counts, model, effort level, time, ids, project folder and git branch. The text of your conversations is read past in memory and is never kept, shown or written anywhere.
Downloads and updates
You install and update ReRead through the Visual Studio Code Marketplace, which Microsoft runs (privacy statement: https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement); Open VSX, which the Eclipse Foundation runs for Cursor, Windsurf, VSCodium and other editors (privacy policy: https://www.eclipse.org/legal/privacy/); or npm, which GitHub runs, for the command-line tool (privacy policy: https://docs.npmjs.com/policies/privacy). Each counts downloads under its own policy, and VS Code may collect telemetry under Microsoft’s privacy statement and your VS Code telemetry setting.
ReRead adds nothing to any of this, and we see only download counts that do not identify you.
Who we share it with
Nobody: we do not receive information from ReRead, so there is nothing to sell or share. We would share information only if the law required it.
Deleting your data
Uninstall the extension, and the command-line tool if you installed it with npm.
You can also delete the files listed above yourself at any time.
If you write to us
If you email contact@hamperpick.in, we use your address and message only to answer you, and delete them when asked.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when ReRead changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
